Flash

A fellow blogger made this passing comment on a recent post "Her boyfriend fantasized about her showing up at his door, wearing just a trench coat over lingerie." It reminded me of an occasion many, many years ago, and one of the most erotic experiences I have ever had.   My girlfriend of the time was, ahem, enthusiastic about the physical side of our relationship, as a young man I did my best not to disappoint her.   Well one evening she showed up a little unexpectedly on our doorstep wearing an over coat.

Once she was certain that it was me who answered the door she opened her coat to show that she was just wearing Bra Panties, Stockings and Suspender belt underneath.   I was still living with y parents at the time, and just as we were going to go upstairs my father came out to see who it was and say hello.   It was quite surreal witnessing the conversation unfold knowing how she was dressed.   Later we went out together and I found it so erotic knowing how she was dressed under her coat.   We went to a pub for drink, at her suggestion, she went to the ladies and when she came back presented me with her panties.

I could barely contain myself until she eventually allowed us to go somewhere where we could be, alone, and more intimate.

I still fantasise about this sometimes, it's just that now, it would be me in just my underwear under the coat.

Cooling down period

The last couple of evenings I have noticed that it is getting noticeably cooler, the days are still warm to down right hot, but once the sun goes down the temperature is definitely falling.   On the radio the other day the announcer simply said "It's over, summer that is".   These cooler evenings are as sure an indication of the turning of the season as any changes in the flora, and they are happening all around me as well.

As always I am a little sorry and morn the passing season, but I am still excited by the coming one.   Autumn is a time for harvest, planting and preparation.   It is a time of warm changing colours, a time when each flower hanging on is an added blessing.   It is also a time to start changing the wardrobe, the light cotton summer dresses we barely had an opportunity to wear this year can get packed away again, the heavier woolen ones coming to the front of the wardrobe.   Once again I find I have maybe too many black and grey clothes and not enough colour ~ is russet still fashionable? I could fancy a russet dress.  It is also time to get out my coats, I find this quite liberating, for some reason I find it much easier (emotionally) to go out wearing an over coat, and I love my long cashmere Windsmore coat, it makes winter worth while.

I will be celebrating a birthday at the weekend and my friend B will be having one the week after, when we were younger we would often celebrate together, I am wondering if this year we could maybe do something to celebrate together again, only this time I will be wearing a dress.   He has said that in principle he is happy to go out with Paula, the big problem is that over full diary again.

Winter Draws off

As winter draws to a close and spring is pushing it's nose up through the soil, most girls will be thinking about their new spring wardrobe, I'm musing on what I have enjoyed seeing and wearing over the winter.  What I have enjoyed wearing most out of the specifically winter clothes is my lovely full length Windsmore cashmere overcoat.   The length is perfect the material is lovely and soft and warm and oh so stylish.   In short it makes me feel good, which in turn makes me feel confident and therefore look good.   It is a quite traditional very dark blue in colour so it helps me not to stand out too much, and the length means that I can wear something a little more daring underneath with out worrying about how much leg I'm showing walking down the street.

I have also enjoyed seeing some of the other winter coats around, I am really pleased at the bright colours, there is a definite trend to bright coloured double breasted coats.   This is one fashion that has made it through from the catwalk to the suburban high street quite quickly, simply because it is good.   We love the bright colours, red and blue in particular, and the details of the the buttons or frogging.   These are great because they look good, and are practical.

Within this style there are of course a great many variations (as there should be) with many different styles and lengths, but they are all very stylish.   My particular favourites are the red, slightly military looking styles but the blues are good as well, if maybe not quite so popular.
There is also the great advantage for an over coat that they look good as casual or formal so one coat will do everything, I think the only worry would be a colour clash if the coat is shorter than the dress underneath.
I should of course acknowledge that the bright blue coat has been worn by one of nations leading style icons for many, many years; where some lead others will follow, sometimes it just takes a while for us to catch up.
